Dignified Rentals

A safe, dignified, and affordable home is the foundation from which everyone thrives. Yet there is an extreme shortage of affordable rental homes for individuals at or below the poverty level. These families are extremely cost-burdened, paying more than half of their income on housing and sacrificing other necessities like food and healthcare.

Stable homes for neighbors to build foundations

Housing in Action owns 111 affordable rental units that are home to over 350 individuals in North and South Minneapolis. We provide dignified, affordable duplexes, quadplexes, and small-scale apartment buildings to those predominantly at or below 50-60% of the area median income (AMI). Our aim is dignified housing—housing that is affordable, high-quality, and includes a supportive network of resources from local community partners and a responsive landlord.
